I had a herniated disc in my neck. For 3-4 months, I was
in pain. Orthopedic medicine only helped a little, so I decided to try
chiropractic to explore all options for recovery. I have noticed a big
improvement in pain relief from chiropractic. I am now able to resume my work
which requires a lot of physical labor. My arm strength when tested initially
was only 80 lbs. on the left. After treatment, my arm strength greatly increased
35 lbs. up to 115 lbs. ... by K.G. After a car accident in which I was "rear-ended", I had neck problems and upper back problems. I tried physical therapy and ultrasound, but decided to try chiropractic because it was highly recommended by my sister and brother-in-law (a pro football player). I can now teach group fitness classes with absolutely no pain! I recommend chiropractic care to everyone BEFORE they try anything else! ... by M.B. Several years ago, I had a car accident. We were all seen in the ER and sent home to take pain medication when necessary. The second day after the accident ,I began to experience neurological symptoms - left-sided numbness and tingling from my face on down to my toes. I had an emergency appointment with a top neurologist who set up physical therapy, x-rays and a head MRI which showed 2 herniated discs in my neck. After 3 months of PT, I had another MRI of my neck because my pain was not ending. I experienced pain in my neck, jaw, left arm, shoulder, upper back and into my hip and leg. Narcotics had been prescribed, but made me too sleepy; a muscle relaxer did nothing. I was taking Motrin constantly to try to reduce the pain. After 6 months of PT 3 times/week, pain meds and no relief, the neurologist ordered a CT scan which showed a bone spur in my neck - the next procedure was traction. I continued traction and PT 3 times per week and used traction at home twice a day. One year had passed, I was beside myself because there was not one day that went by that I did not have pain in my neck. My husband had started chiropractic care, and I agreed to see him. After several treatments, I received my first relief of pain. To this day, I continue with chiropractic care, and I have always received good results after treatment. _ by D.W., R.N.  |
